Can someone please help me with this topic! I have fitted a Hamann exhaust to my 535d and I seem to be down on power. The exceleration response is not as fast as it was with the standard exhaust and between 1000 to 2000 rpm i get a booming sound that dissappears when I excelerate. My car also has a Superchip upgrade to 319 bhp.I am desperate for some help on this problem.

Change the air filter every 2O.OOO kilometers (dont know exacly the conversion to miles). If air goes fast out via the hamann exhaust , the air must go easely in. And if chipped thats onother reson to change replace the oem air filter with a new one who not blocked with filth.

Well all the aftermarket exhausts I've heard for the 545 are loudest from 1000-2000 rpm. Maybe this is true for other E60's as well....

On a very light throttle the exhaust is booming/vibrating,it is very annoying but it is also way down on instant power.
Booming and vibration has been reported on occasion here for the B&B. Does not sound typical though - my Dinan exhaust shows no harshness at those RPMs

Hi Nick,I have a feeling I might have an exhaust leak?
I wouldn't be too worried, that would also apply for the loud resonance at low rpms.
