i bought a CPO 05 530i sport with 38000 miles a few weeks ago and i have been noticing that the wheel gap on the left rear is more than the right rear and the right front has a lesser gap than the left front, i am new to this whole ARS/AS systems so i'm not sure if anybody has any ideas on whats wrong before i bring it in to the dealer and make myself look like an arse by saying i have this problem.

Hey Marv -

Your car is fine. The car is set this way in anticipation of a driver weighing down the left side of the car, thus evening out the gap on both sides. Everyone's car is this way, so don't worry. If you do a few searches, you'll see many new people to the board at the time, complained of the same issue.

When you come to the meet on June 14th, you'll notice how all 75 cars have more of a gap on the left side.

wow, thanks. i guess i haven't had anyone to compare it with. the wheel gap on the rear seems more obvious after i installed the 12mm spacers and thats why i'm a little concerned.

i brought my car in today for some creeking(sp) sound by the front doors and had them check the suspension. they called me back saying that the pass. front is lower by a 1/2 inch and will be replacing springs.

You probably bought one of the members returned leased vehicle and they only put back 2 original springs and left the other 2 H+R springs in the car. lolololo

Well I'm glad they're fixing it for you, good luck. C's bimmer (Calton) is usually right but you did not mention how much of a drop your car had on the each side, 1/2 inch is significant.

Rick..
