most shops charge close to 100/hr so 150 or more to do the brakes is a decent offer..Expect to pay 300 for rotors and pad replacement front and rear.

$150 is very reasonable. It equates to roughly an hour and a half of labor.

Also installing rotors and replacing brake pads is not terribly difficult, but does require the investment in a floor jack and jack stands. It'll run you around $200. Both this forum and BavAuto have terrific DYI guides for brake work.
