Hey guys. I recently ordered some stop tech drilled rotors, which will be arriving by Tuesday. I passed by a local shop today and they said they would charge me $150 for the install.

Sounded a bit pricey to me, but what do i know. So do you guys think this price is good, bad, fair, mediocre?

However I heard the install is not so hard on these, I wonder if there's a DIY on this, because I would love to do it myself.

If I were you, I would get with a buddy to help you on your install. This should only take you about 1-2 hours tops. As long as you don't detach the brake lines from the calipers, you will not need to bleed the brakes. I think $150 is a little on the high side, and it will not be worth it unless you absolutely do not know what your doing, and you don't have a buddy to help you. GL.

I thought $150 was a fair price. But yeah, i'd definitely try installing them myself with the help of a buddy.

$150 is a good price to install rotors.

I'd also get new pads put on too.

Is there a DIY in the forums or on your website. If there's one on the website plz send me the link.

What I meant by the sensors was that If the car is going to perform the same without the sensors? That if I could do this without the sensor or do I need the sensors no matter what? Is the car going to be throwing brake error codes at me, if I don't get the sensors? Would it damage the car or its components, without the sensors? Wouldn't the stock sensors work with these rotors as well??

Sorry i wanted to be as specific as possible.

The sensors are just to remind you that the pads are worn and need replacement. If you don't replace them they'll
keep showing up on the screen. The sensors are installed on the caliper and only sense pad thickness not the rotor.

DIY

If you don't want to replace the new sensors in the future, install new sensors but don't insert in the caliper slot. Just tie it securely somewhere safe.
