Hi
Today I finally got my H&R sport springs and I and looking at getting them installed for $390!!,, is this too much???? the guy said it takes about 6 hours to get it done and he charges $65/hour is this too much????? what you guys think????? and how much it cost you???
At the very least I would go to a couple of other shops and get their installation quotes too! If you really are set on having them installed at the first shop, I wouldn't hesitate to tell them you think the price is a bit too high, EVERYTHING is negotiable!! Good Luck and enjoy those new springs!! (Once you actually get them installed).

$150 is the lowest I have seen. I paid $250.

They do not need to remove seats on an E60.

A super-experienced guy could do this in less than two hours, but you should expect 2.5 hours on average. You need to "run away" if someone states that it will take 6.5 hours. I would not trust my car to such a person. I think that the best people to do this job are the ones who sell custom wheels and only work with high end cars. They may charge $250-300, but it is well worth your money.

I have read horror stories of people putting springs on backwards, etc.

Hope this helps.
