PRE LCI to LCI Tail Light conversion

Hey guys i sourced and get my part and bruce V6 cable, and all i gotta say people who pay $600-$700 for this conversion are crazy, I sourced all my parts online and was able to get them from pretty good price!!not telling how much 
by the way, i wanna swap the tail light now and wanted to see whats the proper way. I got some mounting tabs with bruce v6 set. Do i need to drill and mount em somewhere? or should i use Velcro?
Main concern is how do you take off those carpet covers and stuff?
