Default Pre LCI to LCI Halogen Headlight Upgrade

Hi all, I'm new here so i know this questions may have been answered before but for the life of me i can't find any answers. I Have a 2005 Pre LCI E60. I have just managed to acquire a set of LCI halogen headlights for the cheap sum of £50. What i would like to know is how do i go about installing these headlights. I have seen a plug on ebay and the guy says its just a plug and play swap but he asking a whopping £160 for this. Is there a cheeper way i can do this buy splicing wires and joining them to make my own connections, i don't mind chopping into looms as I'm planning on keeping the car and if i do get rid of it the lights will be going with. Thanks

That price isn't that unreasonable actually. If you were to buy the parts required to make your own harness, here in the states, it comes out to excess of $150. For the extra two cables you guys have for the pre-LCI halogens, it probably comes out to closer to $180.

So you're basically paying the guy $80 for his expertise and labor. Pretty fair deal to me.

I did this link few weeks ago for my adaptive bi xenon headlights and with my 10% discount I have paid about £140 only for those parts.

If you lucky enough and just want cable patching (soldering - or whatever) you can buy only LCI connectors with some cables between £20-40 from ebay and play with it.
