power supplies under the hood? where?

guys, can anyone describe the power supply sources that can be found under the hood?
i know the one in front of the drivers seat - can't miss it, it has a red plastic cap with a + sign on it.
some dude says there is another one, somewhere in front of the passengers seat. he says it's used to jump start the car.
any idea?
