Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum as I just got my 550i yesterday:

http://forums.e60.net/index.php?showtopic=79298

Anyway, I am considering several minor M accessories that are on the 09/10 550i m sports and am looking for opinions:
-M rear deck spoiler
http://accessories.bmwusa.com/ItemView.asp...p;productId=790
-M door sills
http://accessories.bmwusa.com/ItemView.asp...p;productId=934
-M footrest
http://accessories.bmwusa.com/ItemView.asp...p;productId=935
-Stainless steel pedals
http://accessories.bmwusa.com/ItemView.asp...p;productId=611

Anyone have these add-ons? Did you have the dealer install them? Thanks!

I agree with you on subtle mods.
I like the footrest but not the pedals. I have seen aftermarket pedals that look okay, but they are just bolt-on and, IMO, like the stick-on spoiler, don't compliment the car.
I like the concept of the door sills but not sure that it adds much.

Just my 2 cents.

For any of the mods listed, I think that you can DIY.

Thanks for the responses guys, and I'll be sure not to have the dealer do it. On the website it says you do have to order them through the dealer though, is this true or can I get the parts somewhere else?

I was definitely on the fence about the spoiler. There aren't any good pictures of it online so I'd definitely have to see it in person before deciding. And ditto on the pedals. My mom's Infiniti M has aluminum pedals but these don't look as good. So I think as for now my number one add will be the M footrest, followed by the M door sills and I'll stop there for a while.

Whatever you decide to do, don't order it through a dealer or that site. You will get ripped off, royally.

Won't the shipping from Rhode Island to California negate the 25% savings?
