Got the wood gearshift in today - looks good I think..
...also as winter approaches stored the velour mats and got the BMW rubber one's
in. Not as luxurious looking as the velours, but nevertheless tasteful and more
important practical.

I'd say within 2 or 3 weeks I will purchase a set of winter wheels/tyres...
17"rims -- 225/50/17 Continental WinterSport ( non runflat )

There is a rim from the 7series? ( design 95 ) I like - and I think I will have this one as the winter rim...pic below

Have found a set of rims ( not BMW original - they are look alike ) and tyres for 1150 euros.?

I was looking at your dashboard photo and I don't see any cupholders. Am I missing something?

if you take a closer look, there is no trunklid button as well. those things are options in europe. but they do have a small storage space right under the light switch which we don't have in the states <_<.

Correct...about the cupholders..they are an option - trunklid button AFAIK does not
exist for European market..The cupholders I have never had the need for them - so did not order them... had cupholders in the E46....never used them - took them out and put a storage place instead. Most people want them and find them indispensable, but my commute to work is 15 min and on any long trips my wife and I stop and have a drink at a cafe. Besides I like the uncluttered lines this way.... Just personal.

The storage space under the light switch I use as sunglasses storage

Looks good Andy.
I'll also ask my dealer to switch the gearshift to a wooden one before delivery.

Does anybody know the partnumber for the wooden I-drive knob?

soc_fans,

Stevens Creek BMW? You're my neighbors.
Yes, you can order it with part no. 25160302392. You should order 1 and get 1 free (if possible), and give it to me...
