Hi,

I have bought the MtecV3 angel eyes to replace the stock yellow ones for my 06 Pre LCI 535d with xenons. I have been able to get the headlight out no problem thanks to the below video:

However I cannot for the life of me get the standard angeleye out. In the video the guy makes it look really easy. I have the other beam bulb out no problem to give me better access. I have used force to try and get the angel out out but I just dont know which way it is supposed to come out. Does it twist anticlockwise? Does it pull back and then up?

The photo below shows the headlight in the position with it on the floor, exactly as in the video. The orangy blub housing is the standard angel eye, but I just cant get it out. Any advice and help will be very much appreciated. Thanks.

Turn it to release the catches, remove the plug connection and lure it out.

Useless advice, but I don't think there's anything else in it.

You mean anti clockwise then, ie it should turn towards that 'C' shaped plastic notch?

I don't remember the right direction. Try both ways, it shouldn't be that tight.

edit: Try push it forwards just a little to make it turn easier.

yes, counter clockwise. I took a little skin off my knukles when changing mine out ,but eventually got it done. Inserting and twisting the new ones is just as fun! Changed mine to Blue 5W. i think they look awesome!!

I have done this a number of times for both Myself and friends. I have even had to wrap a cloth around the base of the bulb and use a set of needle nosed pliers just enough to make that initial twist to get started. (Obviously be careful that no electricity is running at that moment). Yes, counter clockwise is the direction for removal. PM me if you get stuck.
