Anyone know where there is a plastic welding shop in NYC? I plan to fit dual exhausts for my car and want to have an opening cut from my ABS bumper and ACS rear. I dont want fiberglass or bondo over plastic. I know there's people who can weld plastics together and 3M offers that product.

I watched an auto repair shop technician use a small device that welded plastic. It was small and simple ... I would think it to be quite common.

I will ask the guy what it is.

Stay tuned.

EDIT: Google "Plastic Welder". There are many entries.

I dont want fiberglass man. I was gonna get an M5 rear with the Vorsteiner diffuser but that's gonna run me a ton of money. And if i go that route, I'll need a new side skirt and front bumper to match it since ACS with an M5 rear does not look appealing to me. I dont like the rieger rear that much. Decisions decisions.

To weld plastic just use a soldering iron, if you need to build up an area or fill try Plastex.

If you dont want to DIY, try any motorcycle repair shop they are experts in repairing plastic

I'm selling my M-tech rear bumper soon. The tips I got are too wide for the M-tech diffuser. You would have to get it painted silver though. Then get a quad diffuser which would be pricey too. Just a option.

Are the bumpers ABS? If so, http://www.rplastics.com/weldon2354.html and a .23 gauge glass syringe.
