Seems the best part of the plasti-dip paint job is that it peels right off cause it doesn't bond with the paint. The audi guy did his car TWICE!!! In black first, THEN peeled it off and RE-DID it in white. Nuckin Futs.

I know the topic is old but was thinking of spraying plasti dip on the trunk key hole. Can't stand the shiny metal look smack in the middle of my black paint.
Will this damage the key hole just in case I need to open my trunk with the key? Not very familiar with this plasti dip stuff.

put your key in the slot, spray the lock, remove key - no problem!
clean your key after the plasti dries.
Just might try this myself.

Was thinking of spraying it on top of the key hole assuming this acts as a plastic cover. Doubt it will end up gluing the key hole shut. If I do need to use it to open the trunk, I'll just rip it off and do it again later. Just got a bottle of plasti dip earlier today at lunch. Gonna try it tomorrow morning...IMO, worst case I waste $ 7 to Home Depot for trying something stupid to my car. It aint the first time anyway.

I'm not too sure about how well the brush on will look. I would have gone straight to the spray.
I just did the little storage cubby in the trunk on the driver side and the trunk panel where the power plug is (the piece that gets scratched up when loading the trunk). Turned out great.
