Now you guys know how I feel... I'm enjoying the moment before sending my v1.0 for the v2.0, and having to re-install the AIBs again.

Saying this was difficult was the understatement of the year. These things are NEVER getting changed again.

One install tip from cmansbimmer:

While you should NOT completely remove the lower two torx screws, you should turn them more than the instructed 1-2 times. The screw is actually pretty long and will not fall out with a few turns. Without loosening these bottom screws enough, the assembly will be VERY difficult to remove (it already is, but this makes it even more difficult) and IMPOSSIBLE to put back in.

I was the one that told you and cmansbimmer that. I posted a pic of the two lower screws somewhere in this thread. It was mentioned in the original DIY thread by Chi-Town Racing as well, but it needs to be emphasized.

Ooops. Sorry VT. Thanks for the tip. But yes, it should be emphasized. We would still be in his garage if he didn't know that.

bmwbonehead - That was just insane today! For those that have not driven the M5 yet, do it, especially one with the mods that this guys has. You will want one immediately! Switching between 400HP and 500HP (M mode) was just insane! Not to mention the Eisenmann exhaust which rattled my entire neighborhood! Haha! My wife thought it was a jet flying over head. Great day Bonehead! Took some time getting your lights in and out, but we got the job done. And I love having my V1 hardwired!

You car looks fantastic. Now just get those DRL's turned off the next time you go to the dealer, and you'll be set.

PS - Thanks for throwing up the retarded picture of me on the forum. LOL!

Mine came and have been installed. Pictures after I get my HID fog lights working (Ballasts and relays wired up but switch doesn't turn them on and iDrive is full of errors. Anymore details and I'll be thread jacking).

Really? Mine are totally fine. Are you sure you guys pushed the plug ALL the way into the AIB's? It goes about half way then stops, but if you push a little harder it goes all the way in. (God, I need to stop saying this stuff...sounds, ummmm, well...you know. )
