When you've logged in to the forum, on the menu bar where it shows you logged in, click on 'My Controls' (over on the right).
Then an option under 'Menu' on the left hand side, is 'Personal Profile'
Click on 'Edit Avtar Settings'
On the 'Upload a new image from your computer', you can browse to a suitable picture file.

You can also upload a personal pic, which will be seen when somebody checks your profile, and you can create a signature that will be shown under each of your posts.
