Pics: QUAD EXHAUST install on 530i
#1
I finally got around to having my quad exhaust installed today. I wanted to share the pics. I thought it came out very nice, not loud, no drone, and no vibrations.
Due to clearance issues on the passenger's side rear, the shop recommended not putting a muffler there unless I wanted to modify the box thats in the way. So, we ended up with an x-pipe, resonators, and a single dual inlet/outlet 14" magnaflow muffler. The pipes go fromt he muffler outlets directly to the tips.
The work was done by Muffin Muffler Shop in Austin, Texas. Total cost without the tips was $950.

Looks Great!! Welcome to the QUAD CLUB!!I think you could've done better on the pricing. I paid $550. $350 on parts and $200 in labor.
Yeah, I got quotes from two other places, which were $800 each. The place I used was recommended by the BMW dealer, so I paid the $150 premium, which probably went as a kickback to the dealer! HaHa.
Anyway, it looks so clean and sounds great. I was very worried it would be too lound, but it isn't.

You actually have 2 x-pipes. 1 before the resonators and 1 inside the dual in dual out magnaflow.
Got sound clip inside, outside, and on slow and fast acceleration?
