I'm using Eibach springs only, it feels great! I'd originally planned to order H & R springs, but I'd take my friend's advice not to! Although H&R gives you a lower ride, you would have to sacrifice the ride quality. I'd tried my friend's ride w/ H&R, the car is bouncing all around.

I'm thinking if I should get the Bilsten shocks as well to complete the setup. However, my car is just too comfortable now and not sure if I want to risk for it!

Prodigal545i I like your wheels and height just as is. You have one of the best looking wheel arch to wheel/tire combos I have seen anywhere. As some others have expressed, any additional lowering would give you more trouble than it is worth. Also would change the arch to wheel/tire ratio and start to look off again. Leave as is, near perfect

Prodigal545i,
Can you confirm that you do have the Sports Package and what size wheels/tires you got?? I'm putting 20x9 and 20x10 rims with 245/35/20 and 275/30/20 tires on this week and I have the Sports Package.? If mine will look like yours, I will probably be happy with it.? I think that ride height better suits the e60 as a luxury sports sedan just as the lowered look on you M3 fits its image as a sportier coupe.? Hope my reasoning makes sense.

BTW, very nice and clean looking car.? I was looking at those RT5s in black also.

Thanks for your comments....

Yes I do have Sports Package and my wheel fitments are exactly what you're stated. 20x9 F and 20x10 R - 245/35/20 and 275/30/20.

It will look better if you lower it.. but keep in mind that you may experience some rubbing issue once you lower it.

IMHO, it looks good as it is now.

Just put these RT5's on my car thanks to Charles at Wheel Autohaus.? I think I'm going to lower the car.? The gaps from the tire to the fender is killing me.? Let me know what you guys think.? Anyone have pics of their lowered E60's please post them.

Here is a good example of my old M3 lowered....no Gaps.

Not Lowered

I THINK THE CAR LOOKS GREAT! I WOULD NOT LOWER IT AT ALL..ONCE YOU CLOSE THE GAP IT WILL LOOK GOOD BUT NOT STOCK. I THINK THE STOCK LOOK ON BMWS LOOK GREAT. THE CLOSED GAP MAY CREATE AN AFTERMARKET LOOK.. BUT I UNDERSTAND HOW THE GAP KILLS YOU. ANYWAYS CAR LOOKS GREAT!!
