I made my first attempt tonight and failed as it was very difficult to get the clip open with one hand. I will have to go in with a screwdriver tomorrow and see if I can get it that way. Not as easy to install as I was hoping but it should be doable with the right tools.

I assume the sstt just kind of hangs there correct?

yes, it does just hang there.

i installed mine this past sunday, and the easiest way to get to the sensor is to remove the entire air filter housing. just click on the second .pdf link that rudy posted in post #2 (Charge-air duct version). once the air filter was removed, i was able to get both arms in there and the SSTT install took less than 3 mins. just shoved a guitar pick into the harness, pulled out the factory wiring and connected the SSTT on. snap, snap, put the air filter back in and get ready to unleash hell.

its completely transformed my 535i having both the split second turbo tuner and sprintbooster in there. i also recently added a BMC air filter in place of the stock and i can actually hear the turbos spooling, awesome awesome sound that the stock filter just muffles. my 535i now launches off the line, thanks to the SB, and then all hell breaks loose as the SSTT unleashes the turbo. at around 3000 rpm the car thrusts forward, pulling furiously and ferociously towards the tach red line. allahbuddjesus, i'm in love.

Sure have thus I have not been on the board quite as often Truth be told I did a really nice pull Sunday afternoon on a long stretch near me and I got the engine malfunction light increased emmisions. I called SS Monday and they encoraged me not to freak as they have heard this happening after a run similar to the one i did. It was high speed, high boost for a long run and then I did a 100% lift to slow down. Seems like the excess boost has nowhere to blow off which sometimes kicks a code out after long periods of high boost. Marc at SSTT told me not to worry that he expects this was a one time thing and to continue to drive with SSTT installed as he does not expect a repeat. He was really confident and obviously stands behind the product which has been trouble free for everyone I have heard from. He told me a bit about V2 which I posted some info on and will bump so you can check it out.

I will keep you posted if things act up again but dam that thing really ads the juice around 4500 rpm. It is a great mod and hoping to keep it in the car as I don't want to drive without it.

yea, i really feel the SSTT boost in the 3000-6000 range. i was actually expecting more of a lower end torque boost (2000-3000), but i'm loving it regardless. looking forward to see what mark has in store for stage 2 upgrade.
