Sorry to revive this...
I've got a 2010 535 wagon, and was thinking of replacing the bulbs in it to get more light (instead of adding two auxiliary lights behind the kidney grills or above the license plate), and came across these Philips ones.
What's the difference between the 85122XVC1 and the 85122XVS1 though?

My car is a pre-LCI 2006 model with adaptive Xenons.
I've seen some bulbs that come with the "ignition unit". Do I have to get those or just the bulbs themselves? One of my bulbs (original D1S) is now putting out a pink-ish light.
What's the difference between D1S and D2S?
