I posted pictures of the rear calipers completed earlier this week. Last night I finished painting the front calipers and installing my new wheels & tires. When using the Duracoat paint, I recommend purchasing a quality 3/8" to 1/2" very soft bristle brush. Per the instructions, apply multiple coats, allowing 15-20 minutes drying time between coats. The outer surface of the paint hardens quickly... when applying additional coats, have enough paint on the brush to apply a coat with very quick brush strokes. Try not to brush over an already painted area with the fresh paint more than one time. It will break the skin of the prior coat and result in uniformity problems. If the temperature is below 60, I recommend taking a hair dryer to the paint for a few minutes between coats. I don't believe the paint fully cures for 4-5 days. The decals can be applied one day after painting, but don't put the clear lacquer over the labels until the red fully cures. To avoid bleeding of red paint onto the label, ensure that you don't use repetitive brush strokes in the same area with the clear lacquer.
