I have an OEM front bumper.. it's brand new, but just the skin

My 545 has stock fog lights that I'd like to keep. Do I need anything other than the grilles?

I have looked at the schematic. I want to be able to get the least parts necessary to make it work and look factory.

Anyone know?

I'm in the same boat...look at realoem.com and look at the parts list for the M-tech and the regular bumpers.

You're not going to like my answer. SELL IT and buy a brand new retrofit kit!

Looks like you are going down the route of buying the bumpers off eBay or something and then trying to retrofit it. If yes then look for the Retrofit pdfs on this forum - IMHO the best guides are written by andy545.

See this example of what you need to get. http://bmwfans.info/part-51710396832/

Then you'll need to order all the parts that you see in the instructions, besides the bumpers ofcourse. It starts becoming quite expensive this way. I too went down this route and bought some excellent bumpers off eBay but then when I totalled everything up I was wasting money. So I sold them back on eBay and made such a good profit that I was able to afford quad_m's brand new kit including shipping all the way from the US.

No... I have the bumpers available to buy down at my buddies shop. I can get them for a steal of a price... I am not sure exactly why I would need so many more parts to fit an OEM bumper vs. the aftermarket one... I have talked briefly with Matt at Umnitza, and he told me to go for it, rather than to buy his kit...

so at this point, I am scratching my head...

The guys are right about the expense part, however, its too late for me i started so i'll finish. If you are getting the bumpers for a steal i'd snap them up, but remember you have around ?200 in bits to buy for the front bumper. One of the guys has fitted his and used the SE fog lights, I am going to atempt this also to keep the costs down.

He also lists a brief parts list, note there may be other stuff required also.
