Hi,

Does anyone knows a shop in LA that paints/powercoat stock wheels to black?

Before I buy new wheels, I am planning to go with stock wheels painted.

Since I'll be getting new wheels soon & this will be just temporarily,
cheaper the better!

Thanks!

EuroRev.com they have a source that does powdercoating. It's about $400 for a set of 4 wheels.

IMO, I'd rather not spend $400 to paint my stock wheels, I'd rather save the $400 to buy me some decent wheels, just my .02

For paint i'd go to Eli's Independent. I know they did alot of custom wheel color matching for globe tires. For powdercoating i use beach city in gardena on el segundo. I have not found anyone yet to beat their prices.

Paint was done by Elis, Powdercoating was done by beach city. Chrome and polishing done by B&P Bumpers and plating. (before pic is my sig)

Don't cheap out on $100. Last thing you want is to have is chipped black rims after a few months. My stepfather had his rims painted and ended up having to powdercoat them 6 months later. So he ended up paying $700 plus paying for tire removal and installation twice. I had my chain sprocket powdercoated and i put at least 5k miles on it w/o any signs of wear.

I spoke to John and Vince at Eurorev, painting wheels is not a good quality because it could easily be chipped, powder coating is the best way to do it!

I think i have seen somebody here who has done time-attack look on 123 style wheel, but I can't find the picture...
