anyone ever tried painting chrome rims? ive been searching for rims for some time now (probably driving the vendors on this site crazy with all the questions and price quotes, thanks again for your patience guys) and ive think ive figured out how to get want i want at the price i want. my idea is this...

purchasing mrr gt1 full chrome rims and painting the centers black. im aware that mrr makes black center rims but that rim does not come with a chrome lip, its a polished steel lip and does not have that chrome shine im looking for.

my question is has anyone painted chrome rims or had rims painted professionally and im i crazy for purchasing brand new rims only to paint them?

thanx for the help and any suggestions

You would have to do it professionally. All the chrome needs to be sanded/blast off then prepped, primed and painted. I googled it.

Have them powdercoated. Powdercoating is the ideal method, in this case. And go here and mention my name and you will get hooked up.

Ask for Danny (Jr, not Sr).
