I am thinking about painting my engine cover. Has anyone done it yet? I have the 545i and the color on the enginer cover is just...disgusting. Maybe paint it black???

I think the heat would mess with the paint. But I guess there are special heat resistant paints. I don't look at my engine block enough to justify painting it but black would look good.

It doesn't get that hot in there.....some 1200 degree Dupli-Color engine paint with ceramic will do the trick

bbq paint is typically flat. The Dupli comes in flat, semi-gloss, and gloss colors...plus they make high temp clear.
