Piano black +1

The current paint job is kinda not good enough for this car.

looks patchy to me. not diggin' it.
It probably the lighting or the photos.

Piano Black would be my choice if I painted my trims.

You should add a few more coats of that paint to even out the patchyness.

Also, make sure you use long even strides as you paint.

The patchiness is lighting issues on uneven amounts of clear coat...

I'm going to redo them based on all the suggestions for Piano black..

I have a high gloss can of black and also clear coat....any suggestions on how much i should sand down the current paint job?

Do i need to try to remove the paint? or can i just sand down and repaint it?

black should look better as this does kinda look patchy, guess its really hard with the lighter colors to make it real even.. i cant wait to see the black.. i would try to sand down to the original this way you start fresh and dont have too many layers of paint on it. you dont want that silver popping through for any reason.. mel

Yes you should sand it down as much as possible. you dont want the paint to get clumped up and thick. If you're using a high gloss paint (ie Rustomleum paint) you WONT need to spray a clear coat.
