i think it will look silly alone, i think if you have matte black accents it will look great on a grey/silver car.. like matte wheels, grills, etc.. just my 2cents

I have a t-silver sport, with black carbon diffuser. Im happy with the look. Makes the back end look more aggressive. Matt black looks good to. I've attached a pic of one that i found when i was deciding what to do with my diffuser.....

I have a black sapphire car and I think your idea of using matte black for contrast is probably going to yield the best look with our colors. Anyone have pix of a carbon fiber diffuser on a black e60?... curious to see how that looks
