My Ride: 1993 Toyota Supra MKIV (6-speed Targa top) - SP67DBB Single Turbo
I am close to trading in my M5 Touring for a 635d but one thing I don't want to give up is my Hartge carbon SMG steering wheel.
The 635d has an M-Sport SSG steering wheel. Would it be possible to fit the SSG paddles from the 635d wheel onto the Hartge wheel and vice versa?
That way I can fit the stock M-sport wheel back in the M5 and the Hartge wheel in the 635d, saving me buying a new SMG wheel when Itrade in my M5. Does this make sense?
I've looked at several pictures of the back SMG and SSG steering wheels and they look the same apart from the paddles.
Question is are the electronics for the paddleshift in the wheel itself or in the paddles? If it is the latter it should work I think.
