I think I may be in the market for new "invisible" bulbs all around though, could use some more light.
What are the euro overlays? I'm not sure what I'm supposed to be looking at.

You were one of the original Orioners, bro! Still think that three-quarters front shot of your ride with Orions on is the best Orion pic ever!

Overlays are intended to be placed atop those orange corners on the headlights to make the US-spec headlights look like European headlights, ie without the orange. What DK did is place the euro overlays on the inside of the headlight, so it doesn't look like there's a sticker on top of the orange, but as if the headlight is like that from factory.

I also was thinking about doing something with the eyebrow, but it was not worth the extra time and effort for me. Now though, I look at it occasionally and increasingly want to mod the brow anyway

You have motivated me to do the same thing. I getting Orions. The look is like no other and looks almost like the stock F10 ones.

I would say it looks a million times better than anything stock I've seen on any BMW. The only thing I'm a little bummed about is the color - it's a little ricy on initial power-up. Just a tad bit - and even that, when they warm up after powering up, goes away and they are fine. But think about the color-changing ones, so you can set any color you want - it might actually make sense.

If you really don't want to leave your car without headlights for more than a day, your only option is to buy a spare set of headlights from some junk yard and swap them for the time of the Orion install.

When D&K did my heads my car was at the shop getting a new clutch, flywheel and starter - which was taking about a week anyway.

Thanks Phi! The overlays came in right on time! And if may also add, are looking mighty sexy inside my newly modded heads

Best mod for pre-lci for the money, btw - Euro Overlays 2.0 from AKAlius!
