I use an origin B2, a fantastic device that has saved me on many an occasion, I was just wondering if anyone had experience with fitting one to an E60
My initial thoughts were to have the unit below the dvd drive (as there is no cubby box with pronav) and the antenna on the back shelf, what are your thoughts?

For UK drivers only

Simply the best/smallest and most comprehensive of its type.

Doctor Diesel - wouldn't it be wonderful if it was presented on the I Drive screen?
Surely some bright sixteen year old could conme up with a hack that would allow us to do this?
On the same theme - I was considering buying one of these (Costco had a great offer on them last year - which I foolishly missed) .
Perhaps there is a uk website where I can get the latest info on these gps speed trap devices. I'm also looking for a discussion board that features "trackers" ( a friend of mine sadly had his Audi S6 taken from him by four thugs with baseball bats.) can anyone point me in the right direction?

the costco deal was for the inferior B1, despite the "passport" saying it was the B2......I too was excited at the prospect of a B2 for ?250 but it was not to be!....mine was ?399
there are many websites comparing them, my brother-in-law has a road angel and its much bigger and much worse than the B2
ps, origins suppost is very good also

Hi DD .
How did you get on installing the Origin in the E60? Where did you mount the head unit .. and how do you prevent some low life breaking the window and nicking it ?
I'm still looking - ?399 for the origin is still a lot of money .
I was in costco (again!) today - now they have the Snooper S6R
It seems a bargain at ?275 ..inc VAT
My question is- can anyone recommend it ?
Any experiences with these?>
"In Car Full Logic GPS Control Panel
Compact Radar/Laser Detector
Remote GPS Extension Antenna
Professional or DIY Installation
The Snooper S6-R combines BOTH laser / radar detection with GPS satellite tracking so that ALL threats are covered. The S6-R also has a built in modem there's no need to take extra equipment with you to update.
The Snooper S6-R has been specially designed to help you drive safely within the confines of today's speed limits, by alerting you quickly and easily to the presence of Police speed traps, often located at Accident Blackspots, electronically indicating potentially dangerous and hazardous situations."

Sorry, not tried the snooper but I can say the B2 is simply fantastic!
I don't use the radar or laser attatchments as I've not found them necessary up here in scotland.
