Can anyone CONFIRM that it's only double-sided tape? That would really help me out.

Here this good enough? Just tape... heat it up and dental floss it off just like the badges... little harder than I made it but its do-able. Dont give up the car just because of the spoiler... Sell it or give it away here. ericd wants it...

It is *indeed* double sided tape. I have confirmed this.

But can you remove it without any damage to the trunk ?
Not sure, not a risk the dealer is willing to take. Not sure how they install it. Either epoxy glue or double sided tape.

Typically with double sided tape. Please verify with dealer.

I don't think it looks good in SG cars.. probably better in Black and White cars..

Thanks for the info, but that's the lip spoiler. The one shown in the pictures is a heavier spoiler.

I personally don't like them at all. I do however like the little lip that comes on the M5. It's all personal preference.
I would agree I am not crazy about the look on the picture you showed maybe it's the color with that spoiler I don't know, but I do like the lip spoiler it looks a lot cleaner and it kind of looks like it belongs.

I gotta tell you, I love the looks of that spoiler, but thats just my opinion. I priced it my dealer who wanted me to ante up $650.00 for buying and installation. I'm still loooking aropund for a cheaper price. The decision is up to you, but a deal breaker, I don't think so.
