Well I saw a car that I love, but it comes with the OEM spoiler. I'm impartial on it and I was wondering what everone thinks of it. I hate to break the deal on the car because of it, but the dealer is not willing to remove it.

Please vote!

Hope no one minds that I used a picture of their car.

The spoiler would not be a deal breaker for me, although I would not add one. It is tastefully executed. Buy, buy, buy if you like the car otherwise.

Oh no, the E60 design is just great WITHOUT ! Just personal taste however...
But can you remove it without any damage to the trunk ?

Not sure, not a risk the dealer is willing to take. Not sure how they install it. Either epoxy glue or double sided tape.

They don't want to take a risk damaging the car and then I won't buy it. I rather get a professional shop to remove it then.

That spoiler is installed with double-sided tape. Removal is really not an easy option.

If you don't like the spoiler, it will always bother you.

I recently removed my M5 Trunklid finisher, and reinstalled it with new tape.

It took some work, but it wasn't that hard to remove the tape. I simply used a sharp knife to gently cut the foam inside the tape to release the finisher.... and then used adhesive remover and paper towels to get rid of the tape residue.

Just out of curiosity, how much extra is the dealer charging you for the spoiler?

Not paying for it. Getting a Certified Pre-owned. Has everything I want, except the spoiler.
