As the topic said, this car has got to be the first with full M-Tech kit in amethyst gray. Anyway, I finally bit the bullet and bought the kit. Needless to say, the kit makes the whole car look much better. I got it from a local dealer in NJ (thanks to k wang) for a very competitive price. I was debating to join the GB from you know who, I'm so glad I didn't. 
Modding is so additive, I'm going broke.

Nice classy colour, there is someone who has one the same i see on the roads occasionally and it looks good in person. I would stick with the classy theme if i were you so maybe 166's rather than the more overtly sport 167's, just a thought.

Really interesting post. I have been thinking a long time if M-Tech kit fits with Amethyst gray or not. MY decision was no, but Now I have to reconsider.
The One and Only Amethyst Gray w/ M-Tech Kit in this forum, but I have seen similar E61 couple times in Helsinki. It was easy to spot and remember since I have e61 with same color. Personally I do not like this color much, but it's a second hand car and not my decision.
I have shadow line trim and I can recommend it to you theXman. Fits well with Amethyst Grey.

David, m-tech kit is a great mod but the color of your car just sets it off to a different level. NICE!!! can't wait to see it in person. excellent job.
