I am looking for some winter wheels.

I found a set of rep style 166 wheels (18x8) with an offset of ET15. If I am right, my 08 550i has style 172s (19") with the offset of 22. By my estimation, I should be able to switch to the wheels with the ET15 (and it would push the wheels out a bit, right?

Is that 7mm going to cause rub on the front wheels (back should have plenty of room)?

The set also comes with Nokian snow tires (model is one of the Hakkapeliitta types, don't know which one) 245/40 r 18.

Does anyone forsee any troubles?

Thanks

You can go with 8x18 et15. A smaller offset will push the wheel more out, but the width of the wheel has its affect too. You can calculate the difference between two wheels with an offset calculator. One can be found on tirerack's site on their tech section.

OEM 172M offsets are 18mm front and 32mm rear ,so if you have 22mm then they are replicas.

so I am wrong on the 172s. I thought I saw that the offset for a 550 was 22, and I thought that was on all corners.
