I've attached an array of pictures showing what VMR710's with ET35 front, and ET45 rear looks like. These are the wheels/offsets recommended by EuroRev and VMR. With respect to wheel placement, what are your thoughts?

I'm thinking the front wheels should be set in 5mm, and the rear wheels should come out 5mm. In which case, I'm screwed on the front wheels, but I can put a 5mm spacer in the back.

Your thoughts please....

PS... Don't say it! "Lower the car" Just hush about that for now... We are addressing offsets today!!!

Front looks fine to me. If you lower it a little, it will camber in perfectly. The back looks like it could use a 5mm, maybe a 10mm spacer. Now drop it like it's hot!

I also have an xi like you. I also bought VMR's, though I bought V3's. The recommended ET for my car was 40 in front and 45 rear. I'm not getting mine installed until Friday, but I did some pretty tough research on this topic. ALso, you may want to contact member Nerweezy from Trinity Autosports or DrLev. They can confirm if you have the proper ET. My initial guess, is that you have a lower ET in front then what is needed for an xi. But, take that for what it's worth, I am not claiming to be the expert.

I'm on ET35 at the front & ET40 at the rear and my side pics http://forums.e60.net/index.php?s=&sho...st&p=542355 and they are perfect fit.

Since the pics taken now the car been dropped on H&R Sport springs and as per member KnIgHtCoM mentioned above w/ the drop it gives a bit of camber on the top portion of the wheel/tires.

Looking at my setup it seems now that I can still go w/ ET35 (or using 285/30/19 tires or put 5mm spacer on the current ET40) at the rear but my rear look now is where it should be so I'm pretty happy so far.

10mm in the rear will work fine. And I think C used 12mm on his rears with the same offsets. I'd leave the front as they are.

Now DROP IT!

On my old XI, I had the following spacers paired with the following wheel specs:

Front:
19x8.5
ET40
Spacer: 10mm

Rear:
19x9.5
ET45
Spacer: 12mm

I also had the car droped on H&R Springs made just for the XI. The car was perfect and had no rubbing. Here are a few pix, once again. Hahahaha!

Here you go:

The VMR pictures are actually of my car too, but much older pix before the M-Tech kit was added. Anyway, hopefully this gives you a good idea.

You should be good with 10-12mm in the rear for sure and it will look very agressive

If only my et38 19x10 VB3's would freakin ship for my car so I get some pics up. The fronts and rears were different shades of HyperBlack so now I have to wait for the next shipment

Same opinion here... Front fine, rear 5 - 10 mm spacer.

Speaking from experience... I think we all tend to get a wee bit anal over this stuff...
