Modbargains sells them for $1523 w/ generals. Reps are as good as oem. Just get Miro reps!
Disagree. If you want to know about the quality of replica wheels check these threads out. I'm surprised that monacobmw hasn't seen this thread, b/c if he did he would strongly advise against replicas.

IMO, buying replicas is a crap shoot whereas you won't have these problems with OEM.

Ya. you gotta make sure they are HUBCENTRIC, and have the shop/retailer drive the car before you pay and sign off on it so if it is vibrating or has any issues they can take of it right there. Secondly there are a ton of aftermarket rim manufacturers that dont make hub centric rims and require you to use hub rings. Talk to the shops selling and ask who the rims are made by and even find a person who has them and get their opinion.

Well like i said, Miro reps have a good reputation from the E90post.com forum. I haven't heard any complains about Miro reps and Modbargains won't sell a faulty product. Yes it is a personal choice but if money comes into play then you can save yourself more than a G. Just my .02cents.

Buy from a trusted seller. That's all.

There are some exceptions to the rule, I have heard that Miro does make good replica wheels. Also, C's Bimmer is running some quality replica CSL wheels by Velocity Motoring, the VB3. Just be careful though b/c there are more bad replica wheels then good.

Nobody likes to waste money but I really don't understand folks cutting corners on wheels for their cars.

The stresses that wheels are under are when you drive a BMW like it's meant to be driven are incredible. The rotating mass, the balance. The physics involved could fill a book of calculations.

I use tirerack ASA wheels with my snow tires and they work fine, but they are snow tires I just don't drive the car that hard on snow tires, it just eats them up. For non winter duty with more aggressive driving I have not been satisfied with anything but BBS or stock. My .02

These are $50k and up vehicles people, you?re not buying wheels for a civic!!!!

Thanks for the intro....

I guess I do lead the pack of Replica horror stories (not something that I am proud of). Imagine driving your nice new car and having it violently shake while driving 60mph. The early poster was correct in stating that it all has to do with hubcentric issues.
As I tell everyone now, save money by going with General Exclaim tires ($550 for 4) rather than saving money with replicas.
Don't forget that there is also a market for OEMs when you are done. You will not be able to get anything for replicas.

I have had OEMs now for I think a year, and I still say "what was I thinking" back then.

If you are cash strapped, then maybe replicas are an option. If you are just looking for a bargain, this is not the place.

In my neighborhood growing up, the cool kids whose moms really loved them got the Oreo cookies, and the other kids got Hydrox cookies (sorry, British folks, you wont get this one). Treat yourself to the Oreos.

Hydrox debuted in 1908, the signature product of the nascent Sunshine Biscuits, and ruled the category until 1912, when National Biscuit (later Nabisco) launched the remarkably similar Oreos. Given Nabisco's superiority over Sunshine in everything from distribution channels to advertising budgets, it was no contest--Hydrox never had a chance. Over the years, Oreos' popularity and market hegemony became so overwhelming that the product transcended the consumer realm and came to be viewed as a cultural icon, an American original--even though there was nothing original about it. -Fortune Magazine

Just a little cookie history

Not to overkill this topic, but I also had bad experience with replicas purchase from Lake Shore Wheel and tire

Thought the quality and such seemed to be good, they just didnt last at all. I kid you not, but all 4 of my wheels are bent, 3 of them are beyond repair. Now I understand that theres two folds to this, because even the strongest and best wheel out there would be susceptible for damage but I cant imagine that of 3 of my cars, 335i, 545i, and g35 coupe , that only my 545i with the reps have damage , but yet none to the others who are OEM and low profiles as well. I drive the same route day in day out, and I am as careful as most enthusiasts out there.

I just believe the reps are not as strong or maybe its lake shore, a bmw rep also had told me the same that theres a misconception with auto enthusiasts, that they think beecause its heavier , its stronger (which most replicas are heavy, but not necessarily build better) I also experience that vibration issue as well, but hubcentric ring kind of fix that issue.

Im going to order some OEMs from Gary or whoeva gets the best pricing, just not worth the hassle anymore. My friend makes fun, because he makes a good point.. how do you buy a 50k+ car, but spend 600 on a pair of kicks? lol .. I deserve it

good luck
