#1
Hey Guys
i have been looking to buy a spoiler but i dont know what to get
i looked at the carbon fiber JBSPEED spoiler but i am considering a OEM m5 spoiler instead, for reliability and fitting purposes
what do you think? am i over reacting? will the carbon fiber JBSPEED look sick in my black car?
i dont know what to buy!!!
help please!

if i were you i wouldn't buy from JBSPEED. i bought m5 style spoiler from him and it came in all wavy and crooked. he then refused to accept return because "it suppose to be that way - fiber glass". You can pay like $20 more and buy OEM one btw

Yeh, I was looking at spoilers from other companies but I just wanted to go safe and be conventional and so purchased the M-tech OEM spoiler! I like 'em because it's subtle but stylish!

In short, I recommend only original - OEM or aftermarket, but NEVER replicas.
Here's why:
A friend had bought a replica spoiler for his beautiful 550 M Sport and had all kinds of problems trying to get it to fit properly. After about 3 or 4 different shops/installers and numerous conversations with "specialists", it still does not sit exactly the way an original spoiler should. So, this turned my attention to the fitment of replica spoilers. I have been looking closely at people's spoilers since the summer of '09, and I am yet to see a decent - not even hoping for high - quality spoiler for an E60 that has no fitment issues.
Best of luck with whatever you get though

Yes oem is best fitment, no doubt about that. However not all replicas are bad, there are a lot of good replicas out there. I myself took a chance and bought a CF M5 replica from JBSPEED and it turned out pretty good, the fitment wasn't perfect but nothing a little beta-link couldn't solve. Now that the spoiler has been on I've had no issues so far.
