No miles,. brand new, taken from a local guy who wants to sell them off his new M5.
Do you think this is a fair deal? The best I have found on the rims is $1600 (before shipping) and the tires on tirerack go for about $225+ each.
Tires: Continental "Sportconctact 2" tires front (255/40/19) and rear (285/35/19).
Let me know.

It's a so-so deal considering you can get everything for around $2700 - $3000 brand new. The M5 tire sizes won't fit a regular 5 so don't try it.

Yes, their diameter is larger so the car will sit higher and the speedo will read wrong also. You need 245/35/19 front and 275/30/19 rear or 285/30/19 rear.

275 and 285 widths are OK but the aspect ratio of the std. M5 tires is one level too high causing them to have a wider diameter.
For example:
245/35/19 (regular 5 series) - that's 25.75" overall diameter
255/40/19 (m5) - that's 27.00" overall diameter
Using the M5 front tires on a regular 5 will raise the car by 0.625" in the front and a similiar situation in the back. Forgetting the technical aspect, they won't fit to begin with.
For 19" rims on a regular 5 you're going to want 245/35/19 front and 275/30/19 rear or 285/30/19 rear.

That also depends on the type of tire as well, some have sharper edges than some. Rule of thumb is you want to be under 26.8
