has anyone ever bought anything from thebmwpartstore.com... i used them alot when i was on the bimmerforums. all oem stuff and its a a few dollars cheaper..just saying

as far as gloss black, melimel had the oem gloss black grill on her previous e60:

If you sand it enough and do at least 3 coats of paint, thin coat so no drip, it will come out glossy. The main thing here is prepping though. The problem with spray paint the chrome grille is those rock chips will eventually make the chrome re-appears. After the 2nd time, I was like, heck with that, I'm spending $ 105 for the set to save me some time and my lung from inhaling those spray paint smell.
