Yes. I have 172s on my 530. I actually have 15mm spacers in the rear too.

I am not sure if they are sport wheels, but they have the M logo. This is a pic of the rims for sale.

Make sure they are OEM, should say so on the inner back side of the wheel. Reps are crap from the ones I've seen. Also check my sig - I used to have OEM 172's on my car a while back, they fit perfectly

What markings should I look for to ensure that they are OEM?

They should have the BMW part # inside, or other specific markings. I can't remember them right now, so just use the search function.
