As u guys know in my previosu thread I am interested in installing cat bypass pipes. I called fabspeed motorsport and the guy quoted me 500 bucks for installation and making of the new pipes in place of teh catalytic converter. he actually told me that I could expect an increase of at least 17-18 hp. I am skeptical about the figure and expect about a 10-15hp and will be happy enough. He also told me that my exhaust would sound significantly louder. Problem is, I know there are O2 sensors there and there is no way to cheat that one. Anything I can add or change to the O2 sensors so that check engine lights wont come on??

1. We can bypass the cats but we have to fabricated connections for the oxygen sensor which no ordinary muffler shop can fabricate(require very high skill) or,
2. buy a aftermarket performance header which include sockets to connect the oxygen sensors. If you diconnect the oxygen sensor, it will trigger a check engine light warning. You car will also have erractic/rough engine idling thst leads to poorer perfromance.
I hope this helps
