number plate finisher

i saw a topic started on this only last week but can't seem to find it......any idea? it's the piece that goes on the trunk and shortens the number plate reccess.

That trunk finisher in the pic is for US license plates and the inset for the plate is narrower than in European model, which is shown in that RealOEM pic GENEaTALS posted.

Thanks, so i take it i have to order this part from a US dealer? or are there any other companies out there that do this?

You can order the European trunk finisher for your UK car from the UK dealer, simple as that. I ordered mine last spring from a Finnish dealer. I wasn't able to find it from any aftermarket parts seller.

I don't know about that US part in Europe. You'll need the EU version for your long GB license plate though.

do you have a part number by any chance? also what happens with the lock? does it get covered and also can you still use the existing license plate lights?

Exept the USA different part number for the trunk finisher the LCI models (2008 ) have a different trunk.

Boot lock is gone forever. So don't ever disconnect the battery and close the boot.
