Well I'll be damned - I was right. These lights artificially dim the two running/brake bulbs via a resistor pack each. This has to be to not overwhelm the LED bars. It almost looks like it was built to be an option, because you can take the existing connectors and bypass the resistor pack - no cutting, splicing etc. Just swap the connectors.

You probably didn't see Ricky's thread where he did this on his OEM lights and got shot at by everyone. Its doable but its very unsafe because the intensity of the light change on the LED is not big enough to make the driver behind you know that you've pressed the brake. Also what were you planning to do with the other Brake light, remove it altogether?
I think I can resolve all of these issues but someone needs to send me a sample pair. Is someone sending me one?

So heres the update..
Seller is offering $240 shipped for the 7 members who were interested..
I'm actually annoyed that he increased the Ebay pricing and his discount brings the price down to what it was on Monday...
If thats really the case.. I don't forsee trying to organize another GB, at least with this seller.. If this is not acceptable for you guys there is another selller on ebay with the same lights I think.
Regardless, this is a cheaper alternative to OEM LCI's and a modded solution to this may be available in the future.
Seller said to call to order and mention the 5 series GB to have that price honored and shipped out same day.

haha We should go to eBay and give him bad rating on everything! As tempting as that may sound to some, honestly I don't think that is really necessary nor should it be condoned.
It is disappointing to see the pricing increase on the seller's part, but ultimately it is his mistake for trying to milk a few extra dollars per set of lights when he could be making more money as a whole if he thought big picture and sold more quantity instead.
With that said, I don't want to discredit the seller since business is still business.. and his GB pricing is still the best if you need it shipped.
So has anyone else purchased these lights?
