I had read a few things about it before and it seemed that the only downside was having to pay for it but then again there didn't seem to be much of an advantage to it either. Let us know if it helps with that slow leak!

Yes and no , once you fill your tires with nitrogen , you can only refill with nitrogen. Only problem is not a whole lot of local gas stations carry nitrogen pumps. Nitrogen is suppose to be better because its lighter than air. You can't mix the two or you'll have more of a chance to have a blowout, or at least thats what they say.... But thats about it. John your car is smoking these days !!! Nice!!!

yeah, i read that same ariticle as well....after i got mine filled up nitrogen!lol i guess now it's just a matter of testing it out.

In addition to having slightly larger molecules, which don't diffuse though rubber as fast; Nitrogeen doesn't expand or contract with teperature changes as much as oxygen. If my memory serves me, i think we breathe in 17% oxygen and exhale about 8%. It certainly won't hurt you to have pure nitrogen in your tires but will cause a little inconvience if you have a leaking fill valve (you can always fill with air and purge replace with Nitrogen. If you are fussy and dislike seasonal adjustments to your TPM and more frequent air fills, use nitrogen; otherwise air is fine.

The new GTR uses nitrogen due to performance gains and stability of the nitrogen itself. Good stuff, I'm thinking or switching out to that next time around.
