Hey Guys,

I've been using shell V-Power forever. Now all shell gas stations (at least in Canada) are switching to Nitrogen Enriched Gasoline. They claim Shell V-Power has 5 times the required norm (from the government emmissions control) of Nitrogen Cleaning agents.

Since I have Dinan Stage II, I'm wondering if the increased Nitrogen content will somehow effect my performance and/or engine life. V-Power is still 91 octane, and I know Shell produces great gasonline, but has anyone had experience and has any input about this?

well what i understood from this information is that they are actually improving it. so it supposed to be better for you car, clean carbon build up etc.. kind off like fuel additive

I actually switched from Shevron to Shell recently

during the combustion process, the increased nitrogen (remember normal air already has about 78% nitrogen) presence acts as a detergent to help remove build up from the engine. Most studies conclude that it works OK, but is far better on the environment than other additives.

Is BP top tier? The few times I've put BP in my 535 has run rough.

In Cyprus we have 95 and 98 octane fuel, I always use 98, is that bad or worse for yoru car?
Some stations even have 100.
I always use Esso.
