Since the 172's did not work out for me, I now have them listed on Ebay. What I didn't like about the 172's was the lack of concavity. So that being said, I have decided to go for the VMR VB3's in Silver. Can I fit a 19X9.5 et 22 front and is the 19X10 (25mm offset) concavity as concave as it is for the e90 offset. I am looking to add Eibach sports springs and spacers. Any idea on what size spacer I will need to get these flush with minor fender rolling? I have included a picture of my car to get a visual. How do you think it will look?

we havent dont a 19x9.5 front for the VMRs on a non-M e60. we definitely have done 19x8.5 and 19x10 (or 19x9.5) though and Id recommend sticking to that setup to be safe, especially since you plan on dropping the car as well.

19x9.5 et22 is not going to fit, not without some fender work and i don't mean your typical fender roll.

I had come accross this 550i and it says 19X9.5 et22 was used in the front with an 18mm spacer and 19X10 et25 in the rear with a 10mm spacer. It was lowered using KW coilovers. I don't know if the front was a misprint but I was according to this, I thought it would fit. Being that I didn't want to go as agressive, I thought I could use a smaller spacer to keep things flush.

VMR recommends 19x8.5/9.5 et20/22. If you're moving to 19x9.5 et22 you're pushing the wheel out by 11mm and losing 15mm in the inside. Not only that but now they claim to use an 18mm spacer so it pushes out even more. I dunno sounds wrong to me.

coming from someone who has had both the VMR VB3's and the AvantGuard M310's (which are identical to the VMR 710's) - i would lean towards the 710's if you plan on goin with VMR. i think you'll like the aggressive style and more concave look.....just a thought!

Why did you buy the 172's if you were after a concave alloy? just looking at pictures clearly shows they are not concave?

IMO I would be looking at a Mtech kit first to make the car look better and then get some alloys to suit.

Good luck in your search

I wasn't initially after a concave alloy. However, once mounted I decided a concave wheel looked best. IMHO, I don't think the mtech and the bronze would look too hot.

I do like the setup of the VMR VB3s in that pic. I currently have 19x10 and 19x8.5 and would like to get the wheel out a little more. I wonder how hyper black would look on my car
