I recently installed the NavTV unit on my car and also installed a DVD player in the passenger footwell. I'm pretty satisfied with how it turned out. The DVD player that I bought also has a SD card slot and a USB connection slot. This allows me to play video, music, and view my photos. I figure that retrofitting the USB in the new 5's would be way too expensive so this is the next best thing!

The DVD player is made by PYLE. I got it on ebay for about $100 shipped. I don't know what the ACM module is so i don't know if you can connect to it.

It is a module from BMW that has some INs for parking cameras and a DVD .
What kind of OUT have you PYLE ?
What people who have ACM module think, about this sort of devices ?

What I don't like on NavTV is that it stretches/distorts picture to the whole screen width, thus it cancel the right little navi info screen.

You can set the Navtv settings so that it only uses the main screen and not the little screen on the right but you won't be able to use the nav anyway. The NavTV unit bypasses the whole idrive screen so you won't be able to use of the the idrive functions while viewing on the Navtv unit. its not a complete integration but it still works for me.

its a shame this function will not work in non nav cars.
I think you will be able to connect the ipod thur the usb. makes sense, since they have the sd card slot as well for such.
Cheers,
