Still no closure on this topic !!!
I dont know much about bmwpartsguy, but I do know the fellow at Crevier had some problems getting the parts numbers too.
I really dont understand all the confusion. Either the vehicle has NAV (with CCC) or does not have NAV (has MASK). Either the vehicle has poplar trim or anthracite trim.
Oh well, still looking for the antracite finish/no NAV (cubbyhole, MASK).
Almost time to call Commissioner Gordon in Gotham City to get out the big searchlight ...

[quote name='BMW_NYC' date='Oct 30 2004, 02:45 AM']O.K.- I'm a bit confused here, and hate to add to anymore of the confusion....but - so we seem to have all the right part #'s except for poplar with Nav. ?? Is this the case? If so- BMWPARTSGUY, is there anyway you could help me get the number for the Poplar w/Nav.? My car is going in soon and I would like that to be added then since I am having a lot of work done. Thank you in advance for your time and patience. My dealer has yet to find me the correct part, and you said yourself any wood parts are a major pain to look into ....so you have no idea how much I appreciate you looking into this matter for myself and everyone. Big thumbs up to BMWPartsGuy!

thanx a lot guys. I do understand now.
btw, I have asked to my dealer about retrofiting the center wood console. they estimate about $150 bucks. How do you think?
the center console itself is about $139 + tax.
mine is poplar wood without nav ---> it means poplar with cubby hole

I had the center console wood trim piece installed on my E60 today. The wood trim on my E60 is poplar wood.
The wood on new center trim piece I ordered is a bit darker than the wood on the console where the gearshift is located, but it is about the same shade as the large wood trim piece that runs across the instrument panel. The parts department at the dealer warned me when I placed the order that the wood trim might not match exactly, since wood naturally varies.
I'm pleased with change. It dresses up an area of the instrument panel that looked a bit stark for my tastes.
The part number for the center console poplar wood trim piece I ordered is 51-45-6-951-026.
If you're interested in getting the center console wood trim piece, you'll need your car's trim number and equipment, to get the correct part number for your car. The dealer should be able to get the trim number and equipment profile if you provide your car's VIN. I can't stress too much that the correct part depends upon a number of factors, so it's very important to have that information.
