I had the same thing happened to my tire (left rear) when I was at Tulane a few weekends ago. Wasn't sure what it was either. I used tire in a car for temp fix until I decide what I'm going to get. Drive back to Dallas was nearly as fun. I think I'll go with the PS2's, but not sure what kind of wheels I want to get instead of my boring 124's.

The wheels are on and look great! Will take pictures later this weekend. I have to say, compared to the style 116 rims I had previously, the 135's are a vast improvement. The ride is much better too, can really feel the difference between the all-season Goodyear's that came from the factory and the PS2's I had put on. Ride is a little firmer on our bumpy roads but man can you tell a difference in handling/cornering!

Well, after a very long delay courtesy Katrina, I have finally ordered my new wheels, style 135 rims with PS2's. Needless to say, I'm very excited about getting them. Should be in early next week. My dealer has the PS2s in stock asking $288 per tire. I checked Tirerack and they wanted $249 plus $35 shipping per tire so I'd only save $5 per tire, plus tax of course, but it's just easier do the one stop shopping.

Finally got pushed over the edge by getting something stuck in the tread in one of my OEM Goodyear's. Larger than a nail or screw, not really sure what it is. Road conditions are terrible here in New Orleans, lots of debris from trucks hauling away storm debris. Anyway, they have 23,000 miles on them. Figured I was looking at replacing all four tires anyway as I wasn't wasn't going to put on one new tire. I'll post a picture or two when I get them installed.

The 135's were just under $500 each. But that is simply ordering from my local dealer. Too much crap going on in my life right now to worry about a few dollars per wheel. Does that $424 include shipinng to Atlanta from CA? Really didn't shop around so my prices were not as good as yours. At this point in my life, more important things to worry about...

No it did not include S&H, but I was quoted 120.00 for S & H from AZ to Atlanta for any four BMW OEM 19 inch rims at BMW wheels....CLICK ON: http://www.bmwwheels.com/

I would imagine it would not cost that much more than 120.00 from CA to Atlanta for your new 135s? (if bought from Crevier BMW)

Go for it Eddie, those are some pretty good prices. Take your pick, can't go wrong with either wheel. I didn't shop around at all, simply called my dealer and said what I wanted. I'm a little more worried about acquiring furniture and clothing following Katrina. Just consider myself lucky to be in a position to by new wheels at this point.

Sorry I did not realize about your misfortune with Katrina, but I am glad you made it though and your alive!

Your right, you have more things to be concern about, (acquiring furniture and clothing), but if I can help you with obtain prices online for your BMW rims, let me know and I will help you.

Your GA e60 friend,

Eddie Presley

Thanks, but the wheels are paid for and on my car. A little late to shop around now! Doesn't really matter, very happy with the change.

Have you decided between the 135's and 166's?
