Hi Everyone,
Some of you already know this and have also seen my new wheels at the 4th Central Cali Meet in San Luis Obispo over the weekend. I had just gotten some 360 Forged Mesh Eight wheels last Oct and even had a new finish done to them in Apri of this year but I had to jump these Neez when a forum member posted them for sale. These are one of the strongest and lightest wheels on the market. Forged 1 piece construction made on an 8000 ton press. Most other forged wheels are made on 6000 ton presses.
When I had finally remembered to ask my shop to weigh them, the tires were already mounted on the 20x9 front wheels. I then tried to weigh the rear 20x10 but it was too big for the scale. We put it on it's edge while it leaned on my hand for balance and it came in at 21.2 lbs. For comparison purposes, I had previously weighed a 20x9 VIP Modular wheel and it was 31.7lbs. My Mesh 8s were 26.4lbs for 20x10 and 27.4lbs for 20x9. With that goofy method, I'm sure it's off a bit but probably only ounces. If I ever remove my tires for some reason, I'll remember to weigh them again.
Here are some pics. Sorry for the bad photography. Also, special thanks to member mxk116 for selling me these wheels.
