My Ride: 2008 528i Titanium Silver built 03/11/2007, delivered 04/25/2007,
Hey guys:
So I recently got a few big pay checks and I want to get some 19 or 20" wheels for my 528.
Big question: Do I have to change my suspension and/or the speedometer for bigger wheels? Can I fit 20s to my stock car?
Any recommendations? Any tire recommendations to go with the rims? Anyone know any hookups in LA area?
Please help me!

Hey Andrew,
You don't have to change suspension when upsizing wheel size, but you will want to. If you're attention to detail, the visual gap between the tire and fender will bug you. This is where either springs or coilovers come in. You'll sacrifice ride quality for better handling and aesthetics.
What you need to do is go to the Aftermarket Mods and Wheels Gallery and look over some member's rides. That'll give you an idea or better yet show up at the Boiling Crab next Thursday. Even better would be to attend Hot Import Nights at the LA Convention Center next weekend.

I found 20" chrome BMW 760 repro wheels with Falken FK452 245/35ZR20 tires for $1700
Is this a good deal?

No. Stay away from replicas. Do it right the first time. A few people have learned the hard way with replicas here.

i agree with vt that you will want to drop the car, even just a little bit with eibach pro-kit or H&R sports. i thought i would be fine after putting on my 128's without lowering and honestly, that wheel gap just kept annoying me. ever since i had the eibach pro-kit i loved how the stance of my car looked. yes you will be able to fit 20's but as vt said, stay away from replicas. good luck man.
